The FABv operates in a virtual environment on the IVAO network, and it encompasses all the air bases located within Brazilian territory.

The virtual aviator officer's career follows the doctrines of the Brazilian Air Force, where as a virtual air cadet, they must initially undergo training at the AFAv and complete operational specialization courses in fighter, transport, or rotary-wing aircraft. Rank promotions are granted based on their participation in operations.

The FABv conducts routine and special operations, among others, of the Brazilian Air Force in a virtual environment, following the rules of the IVAO Special Operations Division and IVAO-BR. Internal operations are also conducted to maintain the proficiency of aviator officers.
